Drip Cafe

Drip Café is a purpose-built café within our SEND school, designed to provide students with meaningful, real-life learning experiences.

Run by students for students, the café develops essential life skills including hospitality, communication, teamwork, budgeting, maths and English through practical application. Students can gain barista qualifications and valuable workplace experience while building confidence, independence and employability skills.

The café also promotes sustainability and enterprise, offering a welcoming space for families, friends, meetings and community events.

 

Supporting SEND Students

Drip Café provides an inclusive, supportive environment where students can develop confidence, showcase their abilities, and take an active role within the school and wider community.

Developing life skills and independence

Students learn practical skills such as communication, teamwork, money management, budgeting, problem-solving and decision-making, helping them prepare for greater independence beyond school.

Real-world work experience

The café offers authentic workplace experiences, including customer service, hospitality skills, barista training and enterprise opportunities, helping students build employability skills and achieve recognised qualifications.
